The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set a liberty them that are bruised.

Mission Statement
The mission of Saint John’s Baptist Church is to reach people for Jesus Christ and help them to become more like Him. To become a church where everybody is somebody and every member is a minister.
Our church, a Christian church, according to the point of view traditionally held by Baptists, is a company of regenerated persons baptized in profession of faith in Christ Jesus, united in covenant for the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for worship, instruction, the observance of Christian ordinances, and for such service as the gospel of Christ requires.
This church accepts the sacred Scriptures to be a divinely inspired record and therefore a trustworthy, authoritative and all-sufficient rule of faith and practice. In worship it accepts the New National Baptist Hymnal as an inspired record in song of the religious experience of the old church patriots, and fully adhere to the principles as set forth in the Baptist Church Covenant.
